My husband and I have been looking for a house for some time. We saw a house that we loved. The taxes listed on the MLS sheet were $8000.00 per year. We qualified to obtain a mortgage based upon the selling price and taxes presented. We then entered into a contract to purchase the house. Later, we learned that the property taxes were actually $14,000.00 per year. What can we do to get out of the deal?

Insurance / NY
A few years ago, we shopped for new motor vehicle insurance for our cars, three were leased. The insurance broker came to our house to sign us up. We decided to insure all our vehicles with the insurance company. We understood that our four cars were insured by the same insurance company for general liability and collision. We made quarterly payments for all the cars. Recently, our son had an accident. We contacted the broker to advise us about the accident. We were told that the collision insurance had been terminated on his vehicle and that we should go through the insurance carrier of the other vehicle. What should we do?

My child is developmentally disabled, and living at home with me, is about to turn 18 years of age, and will be attending college in the Fall. Although he is college bound, because of the disability, my child is not really able to manage things like bank accounts and major life decisions. I would like to continue to manage these type of things once he reaches the age of 18. Is there any way to do this?
